MEMBERSHIP AND DONATIONS

The Vietnam Veteran Wives (VVW) organization could not exist without our members and sponsors.  While many excellent service organizations exist to help veterans, very few extend their focus to include family members.  Since our founding in 1996, we have helped thousands of veterans from many wars, as well as their spouses, and children, to re-establish their lives following combat service.  Now, our nation is facing a huge influx of new veterans who have served in Iraq & Afghanistan.  To answer that need, we must expand our services and our reach.  We cannot do the work that needs to be done without your help.
All memberships and donations are tax deductible as VVW is a 501 (c) 19 Non-Profit Organization.  We make every effort to keep overhead expenses low so that the donations and membership contributions we receive go directly to helping our nation’s heroes – and the family members who are standing by their sides.

OUR SERVICES

Vietnam Veteran Wives is a Veterans Service Organization (VSO) which offers counseling and help with VA (Veterans Administration) claims, DIC (dependency and indemnity compensation) filings, Chapter 35 benefit filings, burial benefits, and more.  We also help veterans and their families by speaking to politicians, lawmakers, and others about policies and practices that effect the veteran population.  In short, we are an organization committed to helping our nation’s heroes get and maintain the benefits they deserve.  These services are available to all veterans, whether or not they choose to join the VVW.

VVW MEMBERSHIP

VVW Membership is for Veterans and their spouses.  Our members, most importantly, receive caring support.  We recognize that PTSD does not only impact Veterans, but that it is an ongoing syndrome, which affects the entire family.  

As a member, you will receive a membership card, ongoing updates & information, as well as the opportunity to interact with other veterans, spouses, and family members who are facing similar challenges.  Membership is $20.00 a year. A copy of the veteran’s DD-214 or other proof of service is required.

DONATIONS

If you are an individual or business that would like to send a donation to the VVW, we extend our sincerest thanks.  We are in need of your support!  We are working hard to maintain our existing services for current veterans while expanding to help a new generation of heroes.  In other words – our needs are great, our hearts are willing, but our resources are still too small.  Any contribution to our organization and its veterans and families will be used carefully and wisely, in order to maximize its impact.
