VVW and the Ferry County Veterans Center has accomplished a few things over the years besides just helping veterans with their claims and counseling. We have put on 3 Memorial Day events and are now embarking on the development and construction of our "Wall of the Brave" memorial.
Wall of the Brave
This Memorial/Tribute is different from other memorials, as it is built not only for those lost in battle on the battlefield, but for veterans whos lives were taken due to their service connected disabilities sustained during military service. Things like cancer and diabeties caused by exposure to agent orange, ailments from Gulf War Illness and PTSD.
Memorial Day Events:
VVW began hosting Memorial Day events out at the vet center in 2012. We followed that up with another one in 2013, 2014 2015 and 2016.
Construction of our Reflection Room began in 2011. In 2012 thanks to many donations we were able to finish our "Reflection Room" located on the grounds next to the vet center.
